The Vedic Villa Sanctuary
Built on a private multi-acre plot near Vedic Village in Rajarhat, this 7,400 sq.ft sanctuary was designed as a weekend escape from Kolkata’s fast-paced city life. LUXiHOME handled everything from the structural pool pavilion to the open-concept interiors and landscape architecture.
The Challenge & How We Solved It
What Needed Fixing
The client wanted a resort-like holiday home that felt completely integrated with nature, but demanded materials that could handle heavy monsoon rainfall without constant maintenance. They also wanted open entertainment spaces for large family gatherings that could easily transition between indoor air conditioning and outdoor breezes.
How We Delivered
We designed wide, sheltered verandas with motorized glass walls that slide completely into hidden wall pockets, merging the indoor living room with the poolside deck in seconds. We used reclaimed Burmese teak, non-slip rough-hewn basalt stone around the pool, and installed a smart bioethanol sunken fire lounge for cool winter evenings.
