The Skyline Glass Penthouse
Perched on the 26th floor in New Town Action Area II, this panoramic penthouse was handed over as a bare concrete and glass shell. The tech-founder client wanted a clean, uncluttered sanctuary that maximized open sunset views while staying cool and private during Kolkata’s hot summers.
The Challenge & How We Solved It
What Needed Fixing
The raw flat had harsh afternoon solar glare, echoey acoustics due to large bare glass walls, and an uninspiring standard builder kitchen. The client needed effective thermal insulation, seamless storage that hid all clutter, and an open layout tailored for both quiet remote work and evening entertaining.
How We Delivered
We applied solar-reflective UV films and motorized sheer drop screens that block heat without losing the view. Acoustic plaster on ceilings absorbed reverberations. In the kitchen, we engineered a monolithic Calacatta quartz island with hidden induction cooktops and motorized push-to-open cabinets. Full Lutron lighting allows one-touch scene changes from work mode to evening lounge.
