Located on prestigious Ballygunge Circular Road, this 6,800 sq.ft duplex had immense volume but suffered from dark internal corridors, awkward builder walls, and heavy street traffic noise. What Needed Fixing
The homeowner bought two combined floors with high ceilings, but the interior felt cut off. Narrow hallways blocked natural sunlight, heavy support columns broke the room flow, and constant traffic noise from Circular Road entered the living area. The family wanted a spacious, museum-quality home where they could host guests in complete silence and privacy.
How We Delivered
We removed five non-structural partition walls to create an open 24-foot double-height central living salon. We installed Saint-Gobain acoustic double-glazed curtain walls to silence outside road noise by 85%. Book-matched Italian Statuario marble slabs were hand-selected and laid with razor-thin brass joints, paired with warm Burmese teak wall paneling and concealed shadow-gap LED lighting.
